To set up a company structure in Australia it is required to have two directors minimum, with at least one director being an Australian resident and both being at least 18 years of age.

The information for setting up a company requires at least one of the director’s individual Tax File no. (TFN), and their usual place of residence in Australia.

For situations where only one director has an individual TFN and a usual place of residence in Australia, you will still be able to set up a company before moving to Australia.

Otherwise, you’ll be required to move to Australia first and apply for an individual TFN before setting up a company.
